Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit

Item #: 2273190

HERE'S THE SCOOP:

Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit includes innovative, strip-less wax technology that allows the wax to shrink wrap around the hair follicle, not your skin, resulting in:
  • Smoother skin
  • Less redness & irritation
  • Minimized bumps

Kit Includes:
  • Salon quality strip-less wax - 3 fl oz
  • 5 applicators
  • 2 Completely Off towelettes
  • Gloves
Completely bare lip, cheek, chin, face, bikini area and almost anywhere you have unwanted hair.
  1. Get Completely Clean: Cleanse the area with soap and water and dry well before starting. Any lotions or makeup on the skin may prevent the wax from removing the hair.
  2. Size Matters: For best results hair should be one fourth an inch in length. If hair is longer than three fourth an inch length, trim with safety scissors.
  3. Heat Things Up: (These instructions are based on a standard 850 watt microwave. Microwaves may vary up to 1200 watts. If microwave wattage is higher than 850, use on a lower heat setting or shorter time segments). Remove cap. Place wax in the center of the microwave. Heat for 3 minutes on a high setting. Stir with spatula. Reheat in 30-second increments until you reach a taffy-like consistency.
  4. Put It to the Test: Before you begin, ALWAYS test the temperature of the wax. Dip the tip of spatula in wax, and pull out while scraping wax off one side of spatula. Apply a dab to the inside of your wrist. To remove test wax, flick one end of wax and pull with a quick close motion close to the skin. Apply the completely off towelette to remove any excess wax.
  5. Baby Your Skin: Put on gloves before sprinkling powder on area to be waxed. Baby powder or cornstarch will work. Dust off any excess powder.
  6. Wax On: Dip spatula into wax and spread a thick even layer of wax on one side of the lip, in the same direction of the hair growth, in strips as thick as a banana peel (about 2" x 2"). Allow wax to harden for 30-60 seconds.
  7. Wax Off: Holding skin tight, flick lower part of the wax strip upward and pull off briskly against growth of hair staying close to skin.
  8. Calm Down: Apply pressure to the area to relieve sensitivity.
  9. Repeat: Repeat steps 6-9 until all unwanted hair is removed. Allow skin to cool before reapplying the wax.
  10. Completely Hair Free: When waxing is complete, apply the completely off towelette to remove any residual wax.
  11. Completely Perfect!

Precautions: Never leave wax in microwave unattended. Do not overheat wax. Wax should not be too liquid or contain bubbles. Overheating may melt wax causing severe burns and damage to user. Follow heating instructions carefully. Never touch wax or test wax if it is too hot. Allow the wax to cool in the microwave before removing. In case of burn seek medical advice. Never heat wax on stovetop or in a conventional oven or toaster oven. Heat only in microwave. Reduce heating time of wax as amount in jar decreases. Do not use near heat, fire, flame or while smoking. Always test a small area on the back of your wrist for sensitivity 24 hours before using. Do not use on irritated, cut or broken skin. Do not use inside nose, ears, on nipples, eyelashes, warts and moles or near genital area. Do not use if you have varicose veins, diabetes, phlebitis, chapped, sore or sunburned skin, recent scar tissue, eczema or any skin disorder. Do not use if you are using Retin-A, Accutane, Glycolic Acid or Alpha Hydroxy treatments. Do not use soaps or astringents for 2 hours before and after application. Avoid the sun, tanning and hot water for 8 hours before and after any hair removal treatment. Avoid getting wax on clothing, jewelry, carpeting and personal items. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.

This stuff is terrible!!

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

I was super excited to have ordered this simple at home wax kit. There was many positive reviews about it and it was cheap. First off, the directions on the top of the lid as to how you warm it up are very different that the printed instructions. So I heated up for 2 min and it was like soup. Very hot. So I let it sit while I kept stirring it so that it would harden a little. Once it started to harden it was a giant mess. Stuck to the sticks more that my face or any test spots I tried. It was like gum. Strings everywhere. After about 5 min of messing with it I gave up. Not worth the hassle. Ill be taking it back. The smell was good. Smelled like grapes.

The smell is toxic, the packaging and the instructions conflict. Paper says microwave on high for 3min, the jar says medium for 2. 2min on medium liquified it. Says dont use on nipples, great for areola. Don't use near genitals, use for bikini area.

    Messy!!!

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

So it definitely takes longer than instructed to heat. Thereafter it has a bad smell. It is completely stringy and messy. It starts drying immediately but never gets completely hard enough to pull in one piece even after letting it sit 5-10 min on my face. It was gummy while pulling it and it hurts:( The gummy strings got all over my nails..shirt etc. BUT I will admit it pulled the tiniest of hair and left my face smooth. I love the results just not the process it took to get it.

I've used a lot of different hard waxes, and this one definitely pulled a significant amount more stubborn hairs. I have really dry, sensitive skin and this didn't aggravate it at all

      Not bad at all

      By Jen Jen

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

I'm a first time user and I found it easy to use. It smell like grape bubble gum and can be a little messy and if you have a high powered microwave like mine, it will melt through the bottom of the container. However, I was prepared and had it sitting in a glass bowl. I spread it thinner than it called for in the instructions and felt it did a great job. I do have fine hair, though, so those with course hair may need a thicker layer. I will purchase again.

I really like this product, the smell was kind of bad while it was heating up. But once it was stirred up and got tacky it wasn't a bad smell at all. I really liked this product. I have unwanted little hairs that I get sometimes on my chin. This was took off hairs I didn't even know existed! I think this product worked really well. Most the time I just had to pluck the little hairs and it was almost an everyday thing! I'm so excited to find something that works and that I like.

This has a TERRIBLE scent. It look almost triple as long to microwave than the directions say. It's supposed to be like a taffy, but it's so stringy. It does leave your skin smooth after use.

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

I've always used the Sally Hansen and been fine with it. This is so much better!! Gets ALL THE HAIR! I didn't have to tweeze Coarse hairs that didn't get grabbed by the wax, for the first time! Plus, it smells like grapes and turned purple when the wax was melted. (The wax starts as grey) So glad I bought two tubs when there was a discount!

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

I've been paying to have my lip and chin done for years but menopause has accelerated the growth of my hair and I now can't get to the salon often enough, never mind the cost. I'm so glad I finally tried doing it myself!!! It was easier than I expected it would be and even though my application was really sloppy I was really happy with the results. Also, the duration of the irritation afterward was a lot shorter for me than the salon wax. My face is really sensitive and my skin sometimes feels irritated for a couple of days. With this product my skin felt fine the next morning.
