Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit

Item 2273190

HERE'S THE SCOOP:

Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit includes innovative, strip-less wax technology that allows the wax to shrink wrap around the hair follicle, not your skin, resulting in:
  • Smoother skin
  • Less redness & irritation
  • Minimized bumps

Kit Includes:
  • Salon quality strip-less wax - 3 fl oz
  • 5 applicators
  • 2 Completely Off towelettes
  • Gloves
Completely bare lip, cheek, chin, face, bikini area and almost anywhere you have unwanted hair.
  1. Get Completely Clean: Cleanse the area with soap and water and dry well before starting. Any lotions or makeup on the skin may prevent the wax from removing the hair.
  2. Size Matters: For best results hair should be one fourth an inch in length. If hair is longer than three fourth an inch length, trim with safety scissors.
  3. Heat Things Up: (These instructions are based on a standard 850 watt microwave. Microwaves may vary up to 1200 watts. If microwave wattage is higher than 850, use on a lower heat setting or shorter time segments). Remove cap. Place wax in the center of the microwave. Heat for 3 minutes on a high setting. Stir with spatula. Reheat in 30-second increments until you reach a taffy-like consistency.
  4. Put It to the Test: Before you begin, ALWAYS test the temperature of the wax. Dip the tip of spatula in wax, and pull out while scraping wax off one side of spatula. Apply a dab to the inside of your wrist. To remove test wax, flick one end of wax and pull with a quick close motion close to the skin. Apply the completely off towelette to remove any excess wax.
  5. Baby Your Skin: Put on gloves before sprinkling powder on area to be waxed. Baby powder or cornstarch will work. Dust off any excess powder.
  6. Wax On: Dip spatula into wax and spread a thick even layer of wax on one side of the lip, in the same direction of the hair growth, in strips as thick as a banana peel (about 2" x 2"). Allow wax to harden for 30-60 seconds.
  7. Wax Off: Holding skin tight, flick lower part of the wax strip upward and pull off briskly against growth of hair staying close to skin.
  8. Calm Down: Apply pressure to the area to relieve sensitivity.
  9. Repeat: Repeat steps 6-9 until all unwanted hair is removed. Allow skin to cool before reapplying the wax.
  10. Completely Hair Free: When waxing is complete, apply the completely off towelette to remove any residual wax.
  11. Completely Perfect!

Precautions: Never leave wax in microwave unattended. Do not overheat wax. Wax should not be too liquid or contain bubbles. Overheating may melt wax causing severe burns and damage to user. Follow heating instructions carefully. Never touch wax or test wax if it is too hot. Allow the wax to cool in the microwave before removing. In case of burn seek medical advice. Never heat wax on stovetop or in a conventional oven or toaster oven. Heat only in microwave. Reduce heating time of wax as amount in jar decreases. Do not use near heat, fire, flame or while smoking. Always test a small area on the back of your wrist for sensitivity 24 hours before using. Do not use on irritated, cut or broken skin. Do not use inside nose, ears, on nipples, eyelashes, warts and moles or near genital area. Do not use if you have varicose veins, diabetes, phlebitis, chapped, sore or sunburned skin, recent scar tissue, eczema or any skin disorder. Do not use if you are using Retin-A, Accutane, Glycolic Acid or Alpha Hydroxy treatments. Do not use soaps or astringents for 2 hours before and after application. Avoid the sun, tanning and hot water for 8 hours before and after any hair removal treatment. Avoid getting wax on clothing, jewelry, carpeting and personal items. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.

I'm probably going to have scars....

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

I purchased this over the weekend and thoroughly read all of the instructions before starting. As stated in the instructions, I heated it in the microwave for 2 minutes. When I went to stir it, per the directions, the top layer of wax was slightly softened. I didn't realize that it wouldn't heat consistently and that the underneath wax would be a boiling ocean of magma. Upon inserting one of the sticks through the top layer, the molten lava bottom layer exploded out and proceeded to land on my bare neck and chest burning me pretty badly. Of course, being so hot and not having a second to think about it, I tried to swipe at it with my hand, which caused burns to form on my fingers. It was so hot that it blistered immediately. Then I had a layer of wax over the blisters, so I had to try to pry the wax off, which resulted in the top layer of blistered skin to come off with it. I'm fairly certain that I am going to have scars. The pain is pretty intense. I don't even know how it works on removing hair because I will not be trying to reheat this at all. It is going back to Ulta. See the photo for the damage done. I wish I could give ZERO stars! I should add that I have used plenty of microwave wax in the past and never had this type of experience. I will be going back to the other type I always used before.

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

Bought this hard wax on a whim thinking there must be something better than those ouchy wax strips. I am so impressed! It takes a couple tries to find the ideal heat of the wax, best thickness for application, and how to leave a little extra at the end of the area to pull but once you get used to it, the results are great! This wax removes all the hair I want it to and is SO MUCH LESS painful than other waxes I've used. The wax itself can get a little messy, lifting it from the jar, but its definitely controllable. I didn't find the application or removal of wax messy at all
Once the wax hardens on your skin, it's easy to remove and leaves very little sticky bits behind. Love the smell too!

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

I use this product on my lips and chin / neck and love it. It is painful, but it does what I need it to do without spending $30 at the salon to get waxed every month. This bottle lasts me about 6 months, so it's a much better deal, produces great results for me, but is more painful than salon waxing. It also takes longer as you have to let the wax cool and set after you apply it. But to me, the value is worth it.

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

The product smells amazing, however that doesn't make up for everything else. I was surprised at the small amount of wax provided, but it was at a fairly cheap price, so I'll forgive that. However, after microwaving it like the instructions said it exploded and got all over the exterior of my microwave and my counter. Applying the wax thickly like the instructions said didn't allow the wax to dry properly, so it didn't get all of the hairs (if you use it, apply it thinly). It left too much residue behind, I ended up spending 4x more time cleaning up the wax than I did actually using it.

Comments about Completely Bare Bare More Ouch Less Salon Quality Face & Other Sensitive Areas Wax Kit:

WARNING!! If you're someone like me who waxes themselves, do not use this product. I've been waxing myself for years and have used various stripless waxes. After microwaving this product for the suggested 2-3 minutes I went to stir it and it exploded onto my hands. After searing pain and an almost trip to the ER I only suffering mild burns but spent the night in severe pain. The main is minimal now but it could have been a lot worse.

I don't understand why this wax doesn't have better reviews! I get waxed on my bikini area and underarms regularly. I bought this to have something when I need to wax my armpits in a hurry in case I have an event. I am OBSESSED! This wax is "virtually' painless and it gets all the hair! My armpits look beautiful when I use this. It is soooo easy to use. I highly recommend this wax.

I liked this product for the fact that I didn't have to use wax gauze/strips. But it was messy, hard to grasp a bit to grab before pulling off. The jar also seemed like there was less product in it compared to Parissa products; not too sure though

I love this wax! It pulled out pretty much every hair I put it on so long as I had applied it in the direction that the hair was growing. I had my boyfriend hold my skin tight in the same direction as the hair while I pulled. I did put cornstarch on the area first which I think is necessary to get a clean wax and my hair was definitely a 1/4 of an inch long if not longer. I still have enough left for at least one more wax maybe 2 and when I usually get my armpits done it's $25, so I think it's a great value!
