Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Shampoo:

I was really excited to use this product. Just looking at the shampoo gave me a great feeling that it wouldn't be too harsh on my hair, however, it left my hair completely dry and I used the manukka honey intensive conditioner which didn't seem to help much. I even did a pre poo before washing and yes I do have low porosity protein sensitive 4c hair. I'm not sure if it was because I was using very cold water throughout (water heater not working) or if it's because I've been using completely different products but I'm almost scared to try it again at all. Anyone leave me advice or tips?

Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Shampoo:

I have really dry 4b naturally curly hair & I used this shampoo & I absolutely love it. It worked really well on smoothing my frizzy curls, moisturizing & detangling my hair (almost as well as it's matching conditioner), it made my hair softer than I'd ever felt it before w/any other product...it's like the texture of my hair became nicer & even better after using it, which is crazy. It also smells divine! I'll definitely continue to use it w/the rest of the SM Low Porosity product line items I've purchased.

I'd given up on hair soft, moisturized hair after shampooing. Everything dried or stripped my hair due to my protein sensitivity.

Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Shampoo:

I have very long (waist-length) hair that tends to be oily and always tangled. Like Bellatrix Lestrange tangled. This whole system (shampoo+conditioner+detangler) has seriously done miracles. My hair is shiny and is super easy to comb through now. This shampoo also cleans really well without drying out.

Only use the products from this line if you have low porosity hair, otherwise it will feel like straw. This shampoo really lathers well, which says a lot because I have really hard water. It cleans well, but does not dry out my hair, in fact I almost feel as if I could go without conditioner. If you like the smell of sage, you will probably like this. I happen to love the smell, can't get enough of it. I love the conditioner and styling gel from this line as well. My hair has not had this much bounce and volume in a long time!

This is a great shampoo. It left my hair and scalp feeling clean, but not dry. I love the slightly tingling feeling on my scalp. Overall, I like the shampoo and plan to continue to use it. FYI I have coily dry hair that is fine and protein sensitive.

This is amazing for low porosity hair! It makes my hair so manageable. Most shampoos just sit on my strands but this allows me to actually clean my hair.

The smell isn't my favorite so I pair it with a conditioner with a smell I prefer.

Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Shampoo:

I was SO excited to see Ulta carrying the High and Low Porosity lines! Unfortunately, this shampoo did not work as advertised on my fine, straight hair. A break from all the Shea products with protein I figured would be a good idea. Not so much it turns out. Yes, it clarified, that part is true. But there was absolutely zero hydration or moisture. I could barely get a wide tooth comb through my hair and once I did it looked like straw. This has not been my experience with other SheaMoisture products. Will be returning this and the matching conditioner.

I have fine, straight hair, but it is very fragile. It usually gets oily after about 3 days. I'm looking for something to strengthen my hair. Would this be a good product for me?
