Our Story:

Sofi Tucker started selling Shea Nuts at the village market in Bothe, Sierra Leone in 1912. By age 19, the widowed mother of four was selling Shea Butter, African Black Soap and her homemade hair and skin preparations all over the country side. Sofi Tucker was our Grandmother and SheaMoisture is her legacy. With this purchase you help empower disadvantaged women to realize a brighter, healthier future.

Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Conditioner:

I was just about to give up on my natural 2C/3A hair and go back to chemical laden products and hair straightening. My hair is very low porosity and is constantly dry and poofy. I had tried a couple of the SM protein free lines (Peace Rose Oil, Raw Shea Cupuacu) with no improvements.
This was my last ditch effort...and I'm so glad I decided to try it! The smell doesn't smell minty to me, it's more musky, herbal, man cologne smelling. I actually really like it and i have a sensitive nose.
I shampoo'd with the Fruit Fusion shampoo then put this on, shower capped it for 20 minutes, and rinsed out. I could feel even as it was rinsing out that my hair had actually absorbed moisture for once! I followed up with the Peace Rose gel cream and let my hair air dry. A couple hours later, my curls were so, so soft with ZERO frizz anywhere on my head. My hair doesn't feel dry and stiff for once, I can't stop touching my hair!

Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Conditioner:

This product, along with the shampoo, will only work for you if you actually have low porosity hair, otherwise it will make your hair feel like straw. This line has been a lifesaver for me! My hair has so much more bounce and volume now. The consistency is very light and almost disappears when you put it on, but it does moisturize. I am addicted to the smell too...I think it's the sage because it has almost a smokey herby smell, but not overpowering at all. I also use the styling gel from this line, which works great as well.

I've tried many different conditioner, but none have left my hair moisturized like this one. I bought the whole set and my hair loves this set. I have fine, but kinky coily hair that is extremely dry. My hair is moistures for days after using the condition and leave conditioner.

Comments about SheaMoisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Conditioner:

I ordered this, along with the matching Low Porosity Shampoo when I saw Ulta was carrying it because I'd been wanting to try both the High and Low Porosity lines. My hair is kind of "mixed" porosity and semi-protein sensitive. The shampoo does say clarifying - and that it does, along with drying my poor hair out so it looked and felt like straw. The conditioner did not help matters at all. No slip, I felt no good moisture or hydration from either the shampoo or the conditioner. Makes me sad, but I'll be returning these.
