Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

About 6 months ago I made the switch from liquid to powder foundations and was using Bare Minerals everyday. It didn't provide the coverage that I wanted and was not long lasting for me, even when paired with the Bare Minerals primer. I got a sample of another Laura Geller powder foundation and was pleased with the results so I decided to try the full size. I have combination skin but have found that with this I don't have to blot until around 4-5pm when applied around 7-730am, which is awesome when I generally work 12+ hours a day!

I've been using this as my foundation for years. It has the right amount of cover without feeling like anything is on your skin. I sometimes put it over a matte BB cream. It's easy to reapply through out the day.

I have only been using this product for a few months, but I can honestly say that it is one of my favorite foundations. I use this with and without a liquid foundation. I love how it blends into my skin and leaves a nice coverage without feeling heavy. I really like this and know it will become a go-to product for me.

Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

I'm somewhere between fair to light in skin tone and purchased the fair. It's about a shade too dark for me which was a great surprise for me as I usually have to warm up fair slightly with a bronzer in other brands.

Beyond the coloring issue, I break out every time I use this product.

It offers light coverage and doesn't look cakey.

I'm glad I managed to buy this during a half price deal because it is not worth it.

This is perfect for me!! I can't wear liquid foundations as they exaggerate my pores and settle into the pores. If I use a powder it appears too cakey!!! This goes on easily and I can adjust the coverage. For me it lasts all day with minimal touching up. I love this.

I see that the color light is now available. I was using fair and medium. The fair I would warm up with bronzer. Sometimes the medium looked muddy on me depending on the compact I'd receive. I have neutral undertones would the light work with neutral undertones?

I would definitely recommend switching to Laura Geller! All of our products are very skincare driven and contain a ton of botanicals and antioxidants that do such amazing things for your skin. Start with our Spackle Under Makeup Primer, I suggest the mattifying primer. This will create a nice base and will instantly start to fill in pores. The Balance-n-Brighten is a baked foundation powder that gives the skin an incredibly airbrushed finish. The first time I used it, it completely filled in my pores- I was blown away! I think you're really going to love this brand. Check out what Laura Geller has to offer on Ulta.com and choose which products work for you :-)

Both of these shades have warmth and color, however the Fair has more swirls of white, and the Light is best if you're closer to the medium shade. If the Medium is way too dark, try the fair. However if the medium is just a tad too dark, go with the fair. Enjoy!

Hi, I have always used a medium foundation, but I get that orangy look. I have yellow undertones I'm thinking maybe I'm more between light and medium Color suggestions? I just hate that heavy powdered and orangy look. Also, does this foundation have a pearly, unnatural sheen? Looking for a foundation that compliments skin, and is not heavy or cakey BTW, I am 59, not many wrinkles, oily skin, yellow undertones, and some redness Very dark undereye circles with bags

                      A:

This foundation will be perfect for you! Because it is a baked cream, it will never look cakey or powdery. That is the beauty of baked! And because it contains several multi-pigmentedf swirls of color, this product is extremely forgiving. It will self-adjust to your skin tone, never leaving a line of demarkation under your jawline. Based on what you told me, it does sound like the Light would be perfect for you. Here are shade descriptions:
Fair- You are close to porcelain but have a bit more warmth to your skin
Light- You still have some warmth and are on the lighter end of the medium spectrum
Medium- A true medium, contains cooler to neutral undertones
Golden Medium- You have warmth and the regular medium is too light for you.
                      Hope this helps! Enjoy!

Hello. I wear It Cosmetics CC cream and Celebration foundation in light; Too Faced Born This Way in Nude and Tarte foundations in light-medium neutral. The Laura Geller balance/brighten medium shade is too dark once my tan fades and too pink for my skin tone. I am debating between purchasing light and fair. Using Sephora's color IQ system, I am 2Y04...very close to neutral, skewing just slightly warm. Can you recommend a shade? Thank you.

                      A:

Based on the information you're giving me, it sounds like the Balance-n-Brighten in light will be perfect for you. It is not as dark as the medium, and it leans a little to the warmer side on the spectrum. And because this product has multi-pigmented swirls of color, it will self-adjust to your skin tone. So even if you choose a shade that might be a tad too light or a tad too dark, it'll blend in perfectly with your skin tone and you'll never have a line of demarkation under your jawline. Enjoy!

Because this product has multi-pigmented swirls of color that self adjust to your skin tone, I do not think it'll be too yellow for you. It does have a lot of swirls of some warmer shades, but it also has some neutral and cool swirled in there to balance everything out. This shade should blend is perfectly with your skin tone. If for some reason it is not quite perfect, definitely try the medium. It is not too dark, and it does have a lot more cooler tones in it. Good luck!

Based on the description of your skin and the current foundation color you wear, Balance-n-Brighten in the shade fair would be perfect for you. Because of all of the multi-pigmented swirls of color, this product is extremely forgiving. So even if you lighten up in the winter or get darker in the summer, this product will adapt to your skin tone!

I have fair skin with very neutral undertones. Clinique in Alabaster is too orange/pink, and MAC nc 20 is a bit dark. I do have mild redness that I like to hide. It seems I used this in light, but maybe it was fair. It was way too orange what ever it was. It was a long time ago, so I don't remember. I do know porcelain is too light and too pink. Any suggestions?

Based on everything you're telling me, it sounds like the Balance-n-Brighten in fair would be perfect for you. This has more of a neutral undertone and the light has more of a warmer undertone, so it could possibly be too warm or you.

I am wearing Lancôme teinte idole in 210 buff. What would be a good match in the balance-and-brighten? Thank you

Based on your current foundation shade, the Balance-n-Brighten in fair would work great for you. Enjoy!
