Manic Panic

Amplified Semi-Permanent Hair Color

Ultra Violet

Item #: 2505924 Size: 4.0 oz

1. SHAMPOO Wash the hair thoroughly using a deep cleansing shampoo. Rinse completely to remove all residues. There is no need to condition, Manic Panic Hair Color acts as a filler and will hydrate the hair as it processes. Blow dry completely.

2. PROTECT Wear protective coloring gloves for application. Apply petroleum jelly around the client¿s hair line and ears to prevent color staining.

3. APPLY DYE TO DRY HAIR Empty your desired amount of dye into a plastic bowl. With the aid of a tint brush or a gloved hand, apply color beginning from ¿ inch away from the scalp (to prevent staining) to the ends of the hair. Be sure to apply evenly to the hair strands.

4. COMB THROUGH HAIR UNTIL IT BECOMES FROTHY This indicates that it has been thoroughly distributed.

5. PROCESS Leave the color on hair for at least 30 minutes. Results vary from person-to-person, which is why a test strip is always recommended prior to the full dying process. For resistant hair, it is advised to place a plastic cap on the hair, and leave on for 45 minutes or longer. Applying heat from a blow dryer for 5-10 minutes will intensify color and help to open the cuticle of the hair shaft. This will allow Manic Panic hair color to absorb better and last longer.

6. RINSE Thoroughly rinse the hair in cool water away from face until the water runs clear. Condition if needed.Avoid Eye Contact, Always wear protective gloves. Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows. May temporarily stain skin. May Stain Blonde or porous hair. May permanently stain clothes and other materials. Do not apply if the scalp is damaged or sensitive. Can cause Allergic Reaction. Always do a preliminary patch and strand test.

Comments about Manic Panic Amplified Semi-Permanent Hair Color:

If you enjoy wild colors, this is a great brand. I have used many, many different kinds of dyes like this, and this is one of my favorites. The colors are bold, they hold reasonably well for a semi-permanent. Blues/aqua fade the fastest, followed by reds. Ironically, the purple holds very well and fades out nicely without going pink.

Comments about Manic Panic Amplified Semi-Permanent Hair Color:

Every few weeks I get my hair colored with a base burgundy color, with Pravana vivid red highlights. Well, we all know how hard it is to maintain that "fresh from the salon" look with red hair even with minimal washing and color-safe products. By week 3, my hair became more brown with hints of red throughout (the burgundy holding strong..lol). I wanted to refresh the bold vivid highlights and found Manic Panic Vampire Red. I figured why not? It's semi-permanent like the Pravana, so if I don't like it, it will wash out eventually. No long-term commitment. The directions suggest to highlight to get the true effect. I already had the highlights from my appointment a few weeks prior, so I could skip that part. I mixed about a 3/4 cup of the color with 1/4 of my Joico Red conditioner and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes under a shower cap. I have short-ish fine hair, so you may need more or less based on your hair and desired results. I love the results - it looks like I just came from the salon and I am suprised by how even the color is! It was a little messy, but not anything tragic or anything I've been used to in the past when I've colored at home. I would suggest this over any box color any day, and if you are on a budget or can't get to the salon to have it professionally done! Love this product!

Comments about Manic Panic Amplified Semi-Permanent Hair Color:

Okay so it really depends what you're looking for. I wanted pink hair for only a few months during the summer and expected that after a couple months it would just wash out. I dyed it over my natural light brown hair, no bleaching at all. this was impossible to get out. literally nothing. I tried to lift it out, didn't work. Eventually I had to bleach my hair and dye over it but you could still see the pink undertones until all of my hair grew out (over a year). If you want unremovable pink hair. This is perfect

My hair has already been lightened and I want to get rid of the yellow. Thought this would be a good product for that but there was absolutely no change in my hair after using this. I will not buy again.

Ive used this product in both Vampire Red and Ultra Violet and every time it lasts for a solid month and Vampire Red lasts FOREVER. Its all about what your hair is like, mine just takes well to the pigment. I would recommend this to anyone who likes fashion colors, by far the best.
