I have been looking for the perfect powder foundation for 25 years....this is it! The coverage is great without smothering my skin. I am creeping up on 40 so of course I have a few wrinkles and this works great for me. I have had lots of compliments on how young my skin looks....so this is a win for me!!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

if I could give this a 0 star rating, I would! I have used it more than once with different primers, concealers, foundations, and by itself but it always clings to spots under my eyes that aren't dry patched so I'm not even sure what its latching to. Its super patchy. I do not recommend this product! way to expensive for how the product acted. I have a NYX powder that is way cheaper and WAY better. My Mac Studio Fix is also way better.

I love this foundation!!! It's a little pricey but it lasts for such a long time, I had it for about a year before I had to buy another one. I live in Nevada where it's super hot in the summer time and this is the only foundation I can use because it doesn't melt off of my face and it doesn't make me oily! I have super sensitive skin and it doesn't break me out! The only thing I would recommend is to make sure you use a highliter and a good setting spray so your skin doesn't look too dull.

Loved that it was loose powder. I just hated trying to get the powder out because of the mesh piece. It was like you had to push on the mesh while the container was upside down. To me it just seemed like I would go through the powder to fast.

              • Q:

What concealer (liquid or stick) works best for dark spots/undereye underneath this foundation? Does it need to be set before applying the foundation?

                  A:

You can use any of our concealers for dark spots. If you're using a powder foundation after the concealer, it doesn't need a setting powder

It wouldn't be cakey as long as it's not overly applied and blended well.

I have been using Tarte Amazonian Clay full coverage airbrush foundation in Fair Honey. I went to a local store and it appears that the names have been changed. Is this true? I bought Fair Light Neutral. Not sure if this the correct color. What color would be comparable to the Fair Honey that I wear?

Fair honey is a shade that we still sell! The shade fair light neutral is just one shade above fair honey.

Do you have to use the Airbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush with this product? I'm sure it's recommended, but I already own The Buffer Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush. Will I still be able to get the product out with the same/similar coverage? Is there a better alternative if I choose not to (immediately) invest in the Airbuki brush?

                  A:

The Airbuki brush is much better for powder foundations! The Buffer brush can be used with this foundation as well however, we recommend using that brush for our liquid foundations.

Since that shade is from another brand, it's difficult to determine your exact match. Check out the online shade descriptions -- they'll tell you the ideal shade for each unique skintone & undertone or stop by your nearest Ulta Beauty to test them out on your skin. A Beauty Associate can help you find your perfect match!

              • Q:

I use light sand in the liquid clay foundation as well as 2 different Tarte concealers. When I bought the powder foundation in light sand, it was way too dark and yellow; I looked severely jaundiced. Is there another recommended shade in the powder foundation that's equivalent to light sand in the liquid products? The online shade guide isn't exactly helpful since I would usually choose that shade for my skin.

Light neutral would give you the same shade level with less of a yellow undertone. You could also go with fair-light neutral. We recommend stopping by your nearest Ulta Beauty to test them out on your skin!
