Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

For daily I apply over a CC cream and concealer. This stuff gives good coverage and lasts all day. The pot is unique and a great feature. I apply with a big powder or Kabul brush. One pot lasted me for nearly 2 years even with daily use so while it is a little pricey, it is completely worth it and you won't be constantly repurchasing.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation:

Thank heavens tarte made a face powder with simple, beautiful ingredients. Every powder cakes if I am not exfoliated! Also the same with foundation. But if my skin is properly prepped from removing makeup and exfoliating the night before and wear a deeply moisturizing night creme... I can wear this powder perfectly well alone or over the clay foundation.

But without prep, I am better off using a tinted primer or tinted moisturizer and deal with not having the coverage. I look better with nothing, than with a cake face. And that goes for any product!

I'm happy simply finding a foundation without aluminum, which is used as an anti-perspirant to close pores so they don't leak sweat through the foundation. I do not want aluminum of any kind in or on my skin!

I bought the brush Tarte recommended for application of the powder. I haven't tried a different brush to compare, so I don't know if you will get the same great results with a different brush. The brush they recommend has very short bristles, so it is a little stiff. It works great. I hope the brush will be easy enough to clean/maintain as I continue to use it.

This is the only expensive product I usually buy. I've used this for almost four years now and can't stop myself from buying it because of how good the coverage is. I have acne scars so I use liquid foundation + a good amount of this product and my skin looks flawless! Only con is it does come off very easily. If I'm going somewhere I have to carry it with me to touch up or carry a pressed powder.

What concealer (liquid or stick) works best for dark spots/undereye underneath this foundation? Does it need to be set before applying the foundation?

You can use any of our concealers for dark spots. If you're using a powder foundation after the concealer, it doesn't need a setting powder

Will I still be able to get the product out with the same/similar coverage? Is there a better alternative if I choose not to (immediately) invest in the Airbuki brush?

The Airbuki brush is much better for powder foundations! The Buffer brush can be used with this foundation as well however, we recommend using that brush for our liquid foundations.

I use light sand in the liquid clay foundation as well as 2 different Tarte concealers. When I bought the powder foundation in light sand, it was way too dark and yellow; I looked severely jaundiced. Is there another recommended shade in the powder foundation that's equivalent to light sand in the liquid products? The online shade guide isn't exactly helpful since I would usually choose that shade for my skin.
