Comments about The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser:

I am currently on accutane and was looking fo a gentle cleanser for my somewhat dry skin. I had high hope for this cleanser because of the brand name, but I absolutely hated it. This wash left such a nasty residue on my face. I found myself washing my face again afterwards with a Clinique cleanser just to remove the thick residue this was left behind. I tried the BS aloe cleanser for a week before returning it. I switched to the First Aid Beauty Cleanser. Much better!

    Clean & Fresh

Comments about The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser:

I really like this cleanser. I was looking for something to speed up my evening routine and since I use a few other the Body Shop items, I thought I'd give this a try. There is a bit of an initial slightly unpleasant smell (hence the 4 star), but it fades quickly and the product works. Bottom line is I really like using it and it does clean my face. The smell isn't enough of a deterrent to keep me from purchasing again.

Comments about The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser:

Finding face products has always been a struggle for me. Most products either break me out or make my face feeling much drier than normal. However, this product is amazing! There is a very faint scent to it, barely even there. It makes my face feel very soft and moisturized, without leaving it feeling greasy and sticky. I am very sensitive and prone to acne if I use the wrong products, but this one I didn't have to worry about. Definitely a must buy!

          A:

The Body Shop and the L'Oreal Group will source 100% of their renewable raw materials from sustainable sources by 2020 as they work towards a reaching the goal of "Zero Deforestation" by 2020.

Specifically related to palm oil, as part of the L'Oreal Group, The Body Shop International are committed members of the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Today 100% of The Body Shop and L'Oreal's purchases are made according to the RSPO standard. Palm oil derivatives are also certified as sustainable by the RSPO, in some cases using the "book and claim" model as an interim solution until a critical mass of certified segregated materials becomes accessible on the market.

In the meantime, we will continue to actively support the RSPO certification process. We are working with suppliers to demonstrate that palm supplies are free from deforestation by increasing traceability back to the plantations or suppliers' mills.

          A:

Thank you for contacting The Body Shop. This product can be used with cleansing devices. However, it is not formulated to treat acne. Our Aloe range is formulated specially for the needs of sensitive skin and contains no fragrance. For targeted treatment of blemishes, you may be interested in Tea Tree Oil. It is highly effective - please be advised that it does contain a natural tea tree scent.
