Comments about SheaMoisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer:

I'm 23 with bad hormonal acne, no thyroid, and stress/depression out the wazoo. My skin is sensitive, dry/oily combo (just the worst), and I have redness in the cheeks. I've had horrible acne for years and my dermatologist didn't seem to really care he just threw pills that didn't work at me. I tried every brand of skincare and still nothing. Finally I did some research and bought one of the Shea moisture african black soap face kits and BAM, my skin was cleared in a month.
I still do occasionally get breaks out, but they are not nearly as bad and tend to go away fast.
I use a charcoal scrub sponge for the face wash which definitely helps, and I use Forces of Nature topical acne solution for a quick fix (also helps make scars go away quick quick, I have a bad skin picking habit which can also contribute to acne)
But all and all this is the BEST brand of haircare and skincare I have ever tried.

The moisturizer is heavy so you only need a little, and massage it all over your face real good (good for blood flow, too)
The smell is not as bad as some people say, it smells great to me, but if you use too much cream (and I'm sure some reviewers have) then it can be strong and also make you oilier than you want.

Anyway, give this whole line a shot it's incredible. I don't think I'll ever switch to anything else.

Comments about SheaMoisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer:

First moisturizer I've tried that doesn't break me out really bad or irritate my skin. It is very like and oily though. I only use it at night for that reason, or I turn into a bigger grease ball than I already am. Doesn't help with acne, or oilyness. But doesn't give my acne either. It's okay

Comments about SheaMoisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer:

Recently my skin has not been cooperating with me; I've started noticing a few small breakouts and at the same time, decided I wanted to change my skin care products. I purchased this lotion to use in the PM after washing with the African Black Soap (bar). The texture is not like your typical moisturizer - its more of like a waxy/balm/pomade type of texture but it absorbs into the skin very quickly! One of the ingredients is Tea Tree Oil which is what this moisturizer smells like - not too strong, but definitely noticeable. I've been using this collection for a week now and I've already seen a reduction in my breakouts and my skin tone appears more even. Loving it so far!

Comments about SheaMoisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer:

I was excited to try this as I use the soap but unfortunately the moisturizer is too heavy on my skin. It felt like I had film on my skin and on top of that applying my foundation, even with a beauty sponge, made it difficult to apply. Has to re-wash my face and use a different light weight moisturizer to apply my make up afterwards.

                Returning to the store shortly.

Comments about SheaMoisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer:

I have combination skin that can get very dry, but then builds up oil during the day. Although i don't have too much trouble with acne anymore, I was having a very hard time clearing up some pimples on my lower jaw and evening out my skin and its texture. I have used this twice a day for a week, and I am pretty sure I have found a winner!! My skin is definitely more smooth and doesn't build up some much gunk throughout the day anymore from my make up; I think this is due to the small amount of Salicylic acid and Neem ingredients in this moisturizer. I think it also helped clear up those stubborn pimples, and nothing has popped back up! Its pretty thick, but it wears very well under makeup and gives a bit of a matte look, which I like. Only con is that I think I have gotten a couple of very tiny pimples on my nose, so I just dont apply it there.

Although this doesn't happen often, we've heard from some of our customers that when they started using the African Black Soap Products, their skin slightly purged before it got better. So, we would definitely suggest you give these products at least 2 weeks to show optimal results.

Truthfully, everyone's skin is different, and many factors go into skin improvement including healthy eating, sufficient rest, adequate hydration, sun protection plus managing stress. As part of your skincare routine, African Black Soap products will cleanse, soothe and improve the appearance of your skin, and results will vary depending on all of the above factors.
