Comments about Dermalogica Active Moist:

I am originally from a mediterranean country. I lived in Europe and Maryland for several years so my skin glows when I live in humid places. After I moved to Lubbock, TX, my skin attacked me. It has still been having a huge crisis now but I am glad I found the best moisturizer because I have never used a moisturizer in my life. I love how this moisturizer doesn't smell full of parfume like the others. It leaves the skin super soft, it is so light and not greasy at all. I think it is quite pricey and that was the reason why I took one star off.

A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. Goes on so smooth, doesn't clog pores, smells decent, hydrates, and doesn't feel too heavy. You don't have to use a lot, which makes it last longer

      Comments about Dermalogica Active Moist:

I've been using Dermalogica 4 years and I strayed. I tried different moisturizers from good brands and quite honestly this is just the perfect day moisturizer for me and my oily blemish prone skin. My skin tends to freak out randomly and when I was trying different brands it was really freaking out even though everything else was the same. I can get away with having a heavier moisturizer with an oil at night though and all oily girls should do that anyways. Less oil throughout the day since your feeding it to your skin at night. Please don't ever change this formula Dermalogica. One of my favorite products from this line hands down.

It's pretty expensive but it is so worth it. I walk out barefaced all day and it feels great. It wears nicely under my Too Faced foundation if I wear makeup that day. It's not heavily scented and almost smells like a sunscreen. This is a solid moisturizer. Get a sample and see for yourself!

                Comments about Dermalogica Active Moist:

This is my year round moisturizer. I have sensitive combination skin with an oil slick t-zone. This stuff doesn't make my t-zone greasy as some medium weight moisturizers do. During the winter I add a couple of the moisture hydrating drops after I've done my t-zone and it gives it that little extra boost the rest of my face needs during the winter.

                    • Q:

Would active moist work on my super sensitive, combination, rosacea prone skin? I am using Dermalogica ultra calming cleanser and barrier repair and they are wonderful. Other products from ultra calming line do not work for me and are irritating.. need a product that would be more moisturizing than barrier repair, but not too heavy. Need something soothing, with some anti aging benefits preferably.

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. We recommend you trying the Skin Smoothing Cream. It is a medium weight moisturizer that, smooths fine lines and promotes elasticity, shields against dehydration and pollution. It also has antioxidants to help fight skin-aging free radicals.

I have oily and sometimes combination skin with mild to moderate acne. I'm in the market for a new moisturizer and highly considering the active moist but I'm worried that it may cause breakouts due to some of the ingredients. Has anyone experienced increased breakouts due to this moisturizer or is it safe for acne prone skin?

                        A:

Thank you for your question. The dry/tight feeling you are experiencing is called dehydration where your skin is lacking water moisture even though you produce oil. To help with hydration you will need a healthy cleanser that won't strip your skin of this moisture and hydration products to help restore the moisture. Here's what I recommend for your skin.

                        Special Cleansing Gel
                        Multi Active Toner
Skin Hydrating Booster or Skin Hydrating Masque
                        Active Moist
                        Solar Defense Booster SPF 50

I hope you find this helpful and if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask :)
