Comments about Hot Tools 3/4" Gold Brush Iron:

This is the most effective curler I have found in many years. Minimal tangles with great results for my mid-length fine hair. Quite durable with long cord and a bend at base so it lays on counter without falling off. Just have to be careful to avoid touching tube at base.

Pulled my shoulder out and husband tried using a curling iron on my hair which frizzed it and made it go every which way. This was easier to use for him to give me a smooth height effect with curls on crown. Love it!

Comments about Hot Tools 3/4" Gold Brush Iron:

This was an ok tool. My mom picked it up at Ulta in an effort to quickly find something to semi-straighten my thick, black, tightly curled yet soft hair so that braiding it would be easier. I trusted her judgement and we brought it home. It got my hair a little less straight than a blow dry would, so my hair was left soft and fluffy and my mom braided it out of the way in big sections. She told me it didn't get quite hot enough and I noticed she had to make a few passes, which I know can be damaging. Anyway, for a quickie it got the job done. Definitely not for those days you want to emulate black silk.

Hello, I would like to know is the iron plastic bristles they look like in the picture brush like bristles. I have read the othe other questions and you say that it comes with another set of bristles. Why is that? Are the larger size like 1" and what do you do to get them off. I have the old instyler that is purple and works great no problem. I just want something defferent. I have a little past my shoulder hair will this work go on my hair? Thank you

                    A:

Hello. Yes, they are plastic bristles. The product comes with another set of bristles in case they brake or get worn out. You rotate the cool tip and align with indention on cool tip. Then you pull bristles out to replace with new bristles. Once bristles have been replaced you turn cool tip and lock in place. We don't have a 1" like this one, but do have a 1" with silicone bristles. The product # is 1146, Silicone Brush Styler- 1" Hot Brush Styler. I would recommend a 1" or larger for hair past your shoulder.
