Comments about Botanics 100% Organic Nourishing Facial Oil:

This oil is wonderful. I use In the morning before my primer and use every night. My skin is so soft and subtle. I have eczema and hormonal acne but you would never know since I been using this oil . People compliment so much on my skin. Also my eyebrows have grew back thick. I coat my face at night with this oil and my eyebrows are thick again after years of plucking. The lady who waxed my eyebrows gave me a clean up and was blown away at how thick my eyebrows were. She asked what was I doing different. I told her I have been using this oil for 2 months everyday. I hope it never gets discontinued. I love this better than the Mac's pricey prep and prime Essentials oil.

Comments about Botanics 100% Organic Nourishing Facial Oil:

This is hands down the best facial oil I have used! I have combination skin with a very oily t-zone. I use this oil as my daily moisturizer after cleansing and any time my skin needs extra conditioning. It absorbs very quickly and moisturizes well while providing amazing oil control by preventing the skin's production of excess oil, leaving the skin perfectly soft and supple every day. A drop or two on the lips soothes dryness, cracking, and chapping as well. The scent is light, pleasant, and natural smelling. While the bottle seems small for the price, it is a good value for the long time that it lasts and all the skin benefits it provides. It is crucial that when using this oil and any product with a dropper that the dropper tip does not touch the face or hands to avoid bacterial contamination of the entire bottle.

              A:

Thanks for contacting us about animal testing.

Boots (the parent company of the Botanics brand) and its subsidiary businesses do not test any products or ingredients on animals, and do not commission others to do so on our behalf. In fact in March 2013 it became illegal for any company to test cosmetic products or ingredients on animals in Europe.

The issue of animal testing on products and raw materials is one we take very seriously at Boots UK. For over 20 years our policy for cosmetics and toiletries has been that we do not carry out, or ask our suppliers to carry out on our behalf, animal testing on either ingredients or finished products and you can rest assured that we apply our policy rigorously.

Boots would like to see an end to all animal testing, and we fully supported the development of the ban on animal testing on ingredients that came into force in the European Union in 2013. The ban applies to all cosmetics products purchased from any store across the EU and completes the ban that started with finished products in 2004 and was extended to cover most types of ingredient testing in 2009. The 2013 law has completed the ban for all forms of animal testing for both products and ingredients and now ensures that all companies in our industry in Europe are now aligned with the same policy that Boots has had in place for over 20 years.

We would definitely like to see an end to all animal tests. We fully support the intentions of the BUAV and take a keen interest in the development and introduction of alternative forms of safety testing.

We hope you find this helpful and reassuring.

              A:

Thank you for asking. Our versatile Organic Nourishing Facial Oil shouldn't encourage a breakout, but everyone's skin is different. Some customers find that using only one or two drops in the evening is enough to provide hydration without clogging their pores, others like to add a drop into their day cream or makeup if they have dry skin, still others like to use it as a weekly hydration booster following their exfoliation. Please keep in mind that this facial oil is not formulated to be specifically non-pore blocking, so we can't guarantee that this will not break you out. For customers who love the oil but their faces don't, we recommend using it for hands and cuticles. We hope this helps!
