Pulse Technology for Gets Hot...Stays Hot performance - senses heat loss and begins restoring it immediately so the iron stays hot!

This straightener worked about as well as any other, nothing too special. But after a little over 9 months of having it, the straightener made a popping noise and shut off. I'm disappointed in how little time it took the product to die.

Bought with rewards, thought I was getting high end for a deal with rewards. Does its job and straightens beautifully and takes less time than before to do my hair. Only problem is lock doesn't work. Returned thinking maybe got a faulty one, great help from the store. Turns out, lock doesn't work on new one either. Keeping since straighter works, just not the locking.

I waited too long to use this product and now that I've finally tried it, I'm disappointed. My 5 year old Remington straighter works way better than this one. I don't know if it doesn't get hot enough or what, but the couple times I tried it my hair looks the same as before I styled it. Very annoying! I mainly want to create curl/waves with my straightener and this one doesn't glide through my hair – which I could live with if the curl stuck. I wish I had a before/after picture of my hair, waste of time! Hopefully Ulta will let me return this even though it's been more than 60 days since I purchased!

Comments about Hot Tools 1 Inch Digital Salon Flat Iron w/CeramicTi Tourmaline:

I purchased this flat iron when I was out of town and in need of something. I planned on purchasing something a bit less expensive because I already have a nice flat iron at home. I still expected decent quality for the price; I was disappointed. My hair is naturally curly/wavy and usually doesn't take more than 20 minutes for me to flat iron it. After I washed my hair- it took me 45 minutes to get less than adequate results. I returned the flat iron the next day and bought a BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium. It is worth spending a little more money to get higher quality.

Comments about Hot Tools 1 Inch Digital Salon Flat Iron w/CeramicTi Tourmaline:

I had asked one of the stylists at Ulta to assist me with getting a flat iron as my previous one had just quit on me. They recommended the Hot Tools brand, but seemed to be a little uneducated as to the differences between ceramic and metal plates. I have thin, wavy hair, and a lot of it, so I decided to go with their recommendation of the HotTools product, but based on the description, stuck with ceramic as this is supposed to be for "all hair types" where the metal is for "thick hair". This straightner is terrible. It does heat up fast, but it is not smooth when running it through your hair and I had to run it through my hair several times to get the same affect as my previous one. I will be returning this item.

                          A:

Ceramic is gentler to hair than titanium, so we recommend opting for this model if that is a concern, especially if you have hair that is prone to damage or that has been over-processed. We also always recommend using a heat protectant styling product in your hair prior to heat styling to help prevent thermal damage!
