This iron provides excellent durability under high heats. It also provides even heat distribution and is corrosion-resistant to styling products. Hair looks smooth and glossy.

Pulse Technology for Gets Hot...Stays Hot performance - senses heat loss and begins restoring it immediately so the iron stays hot!

I have fairly straight, thick hair, and would only need to further straighten to get out any frizziness or kinks. This flat iron works well for that as long as you take it slow with smaller sections. It glides nicely over the hair.

I have thick, frizzy hair and this product doesn't work well for me. Even on the highest setting, going over the same section multiple times, it still doesn't completely take all of the frizz out of my hair. My previous $20 Remington flat iron did a better job.

Comments about Hot Tools 1 Inch Digital Salon Flat Iron w/CeramicTi Tourmaline:

My hair is thick but fine, and has always been very straight. I wear it about jaw-to-chin-length, with bangs. For some reason lately it has become wavy/curly: not an attractive look for me! I prefer a straight, simple hairdo. So, my hair stylist showed me how to use a straightening iron and recommended I buy one. There were quite a few to choose from, many price options. I bought one "for all hair types" at the medium price range. I love it! I use the lowest heat setting to smooth out my hair's tendency to curl in front. It even tames the cowlick in my bangs. I take medication that might weaken my hair, but so far am not seeing any damage from the iron. I apply anti-frizz lotion and blow-dry my hair completely, then smooth out the waves with my straightening iron. Shiny, straight hair all day long!

Which flat iron is gentler to hair? The ceramic plates ti tourmaline on this flatiron or item 2295779 with the titanium plates? I have slightly course, thick somewhat wavy hair.

                        A:

Ceramic is gentler to hair than titanium, so we recommend opting for this model if that is a concern, especially if you have hair that is prone to damage or that has been over-processed. We also always recommend using a heat protectant styling product in your hair prior to heat styling to help prevent thermal damage!
